Dana Maciag graduated from ASU with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She became a first grade teacher and taught for 6 years in Anthem, AZ. Dana had volunteered her time and painted the walls of the schools library with large storybook characters. It wasn’t long after completing the library mural that she realized she had another profession to go after! Kid Murals by Dana (www.kidmuralsbydana) was formed shortly after. Dana has been painting and decorating kids rooms for 7 years now. She loves being creative, putting her once hobby to good use, and bringing boring walls to life!
Dana and husband Ryan have three children, Jaydan 10, Hunter 4 and Carson 3. Together they live in Scottsdale, AZ not too far from the neighborhood her and Ryan grew up together.
The idea Sleepy Teepee came about when Jaydan’s 10th birthday rolled around. Dana wanted something fun and different and realized the sleepover teepees were a great idea! Using her creative skills, Dana enrolled the help of Clayton for the teepee making and Sara’s party planning skills to bring the company to life!
